"LoVE ADDiCTS, where people become more addicted to the feeeeling rather than the person their with......tsk tsk,, what a sad world we live in, where now its no longer about anybody but YoU, you know your selfish when you loving somebody not because of them .....but because of you being scared to be lonely."
So, thanks to Chris King, this Blog is entitled Lessons In Love. Everyone, class is in session!
Lesson #1: You can't learn to love someone else if you don't learn to love yourself first.
People always forget there is no love like self love. The first person you should fall in love with is yourself. I'm not saying become conceited or narcissistic, but when you truly love yourself, you understand what loving someone entails because you have experience in loving YOU. No one knows how to love you better than you. Get it? Got it? Good.
Lesson # 2: One of the most important things love entails: respect.
If you learn what it is and what it means to respect yourself and others, all of the other qualities of a good relationship will follow. If you have respect for yourself, you will never settle for anything or anyone less than what you deserve. If you really do respect who you are as a person, you would never bring someone into your life that you know will only bring drama and stress.
If someone respects you, that person would have the decency to be honest with you. So, what does that mean? If that person respects you, they care about you enough not to violate your trust ("talk" to other people or cheat on you), take advantage or use you, etc. Do people make mistakes? Of course they do. You make mistakes and learn from them. You don't keep making them especially not when you know your wrong doings continually hurt someone you "love."
Honestly, love is a word that gets tossed around too often nowadays. The next session of Lessons In Love will be a remedial session just to make sure everyone is on the same page. Until then, think about this: What is love?
Thanks again, Chris.
